Program Overview

This camp is an immersive experience where Girl Scouts join the ranks of elite local firefighters and law enforcement personnel to learn how they ensure public safety in our communities. Campers practice searchand-rescue skills, learn crime scene investigation tactics and complete confidence boosting and adrenaline pumping activities like an aerial climb, rappelling, canine tracking and defensive tactics. Campers spend their days at the St. Louis County Police and Fire Academy in Wellston, returning each evening to Camp Fiddlecreek to stay at Myrtle’s Manor.

Description

Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri sponsors the annual Camp Fury, an overnight camp for teen girls (ages 14-17) that introduces them to careers in law enforcement, fire protection, and EMS. The five-day camp is held in June each year.

Campers meet heroic women who serve in public safety roles--EMS, fire protection, and law enforcement. Each day introduces campers to physical challenges and activities related to a career in public safety. Campers participate in search and rescue drills, crime scene investigation activities, and physical fitness exercises. Every activity at camp is designed to prepare teens for a future public safety role. Camp concludes with a graduation ceremony to celebrate every camper's accomplishments.

Camp Fury is one of the most popular public safety programs for teen girls. Participation in Girl Scouts is not a requirement for attending Camp Fury. In addition, financial aid is available for families. Register today!
